According to the CDC, in 2023, 24.3% of U.S. adults experienced chronic pain, and 8.5% reported high-impact chronic pain that limited their ability to work and perform daily activities. Yet, many still lack access to connected, data-driven tools that support effective and continuous pain management. Recognizing this need, a leading healthcare innovator partnered with Folio3 Digital Health to develop a smart therapeutic solution that bridges wearable technology and personalized care.
The resulting platform leverages advanced healthcare technology integration to connect two wearable devices, the Pain Relief Controller and the Smart Patch, with a Bluetooth-enabled device with an intuitive iOS application. The software features allow users to seamlessly control the devices and provide both users and providers with the flexibility to view and interpret sensor data. Through secure API integration and potential medical device integration with EHR systems, users can track pain intensity, monitor recovery progress, and evaluate device performance in real time. With interactive analytics and customizable session controls, the solution empowers patients to take control of their therapy and achieve improved recovery outcomes.
